The Lessons of Failure

learningToday, everyone DNFed the WOD.  That means the workout was too hard for our gym, at the current moment.  People gave it their best and nobody finished.

There have been quite a few this month where many people have DNFed but this has been the only one (so far, there’s still one day left) that nobody has finished.  As a programmer and coach, this tells me two things:

1. This particular workout was too hard.
2. I need to emphasize scaling the workouts more.

Honestly, I think this is a good thing.  It’s like lifting heavier and heavier until you finally get to failure.  If you stop short, you never know.  Now we know.
