Straight to the Hard Stuff

Kids class: spinning hook

Today in kid’s class we went straight to the two “hardest” kicks on the new requirement list – the spinning side kick and the spinning hook kick.  The students all did really well with both kicks.  Nobody got too frustrated.  Everyone knew when to take a moment when they got a little dizzy.  Everyone managed to connect with the focus pads most of the time when practicing.

The take away from driling these difficult kicks: students are capable of amazing things if given the opportunity to try.  I was impressed.
