Left or Right?

Ever get confused about which leg to throw over when trying to do a triangle?  Wait.  Let’s back up a bit.  Ever get confused about you’re left and right?  Yeah, me too.

So here’s the deal: you want to triangle choke somebody.  (Of course you do.  Just admit it and be happy about it.)  That means you need one arm (unless you’re being fancy) inside the triangle and one arm outside the triangle, right?  Right.

Once you’ve got one arm out, it’s simple.  It’s the “out” arm side (shoulder) that you want to drape your leg over.  That means if you’ve got their left arm “inside” the triangle, you’re going to want to drape a leg over their “out” side, in this case their right – you’re left.

Don’t let left/right confusion get in your way of choking somebody!
