Here we are – CrossFitters, Kung Fuers and Kid(ers) and families associated with the aforementioned groups – gathered to sweat for charity. It’s an ancient holiday tradition, give to those who need it the most during times of celebration. It’s a strong current in martial culture, the warrior is expected to protect and serve those in need. And certainly CrossFit (though a very young culture in comparison) has espoused charity as something worth sweating for.
So, I guess we got it covered at least three different ways, maybe more if we include the simple idea of compassion for our fellow human beings. Hope everyone remembers that sentiment past today – undoubtedly everyone who did the workout today will physically feel the power of charity (or is that lactic acid) in their muscles for at least another couple days.
