Game #14: Everyone Says No

I took a video of the students playing this game but decided not to post it because it didn’t really convey much – so I’ll do my best with words.

One student is the guesser.  Have them stand facing a wall with their eyes close.  The rest of the students should be lined up with their hands behind their back.  Put a ball in one of the students hands and then have the guesser turn around.

The object of the game is to have the guesser try and figure out who has the ball.  The only tool they have is to ask each person one time: “do you have the ball?”  The students are only allowed to respond by saying no – which means that the student with the ball has to lie.

Fun stuff.  I always enjoy how creative the students get when it is their turn to say no.  Will they fake and act nervous when they don’t have the ball?  Will they double fake and act nervous when they do have the ball?  Will they play it straight and just give a plain no?  This is a great game to play in a class where you plan to talk about fakes in sparring.
