Watching people make mistakes can be an emotional business. Maybe you’re worried for them and you don’t want to see them make a mistake. Maybe you’ve got a grudge against them and you do want to see them make a mistake.
The deliberate mistake game keeps mistakes emotional but hopefully makes them fun for everyone. One person stands up in front of the class and does their form as best they can one time. Then they do the form again but deliberately make a mistake. The job of the students sitting and watching is to identify the mistake. Besides being fun, it’s a clever way to get the students to watch forms carefully.
(Pardon the hazy shot… still figuring out the camera or maybe that’s my super powerful chi.)
