Kick combination #2 is the first kick combination that students learn in kids class. The reason for this is that younger students seem to have a much easier time with the footwork in this combination that they do with the footwork in #1.
The combination, like many of the kick combinations, is designed to teach the student how to varying up targets. With this in mind, the first kick is to the body, the second to the head and the final kick is to the groin.
Memorizing and practicing is good but don’t forget to try the combination (and variations of it) when you spar! If you don’t, what’s the use in learning it?
