Sources

There’s a bit in the form Mo Sam Do (Third Martial Way) that we call “the matador section”.  It consists of two arm drags and a choke.  I chose this particular section to drill this week because we have been going over the idea of how to cross up our partner and take control of their side or back.
I suspect if we wanted to, we could draw all of our training content from forms.  Then, as students learned forms they’d remember training that particular section during class and not only would the form be easier to remember, it would make more sense.  It wouldn’t just be a series of moves strung together to look cool – it would be like a source book of attacks and defenses – a curriculum of movement.
