The Long Clip

For today’s grappling class, we looked at the basic of a single and double leg take down – practiced them for about 15 minutes and then put them at the beginning of our free rolling sessions.  In other words, instead of starting from seated randori, one student would do a take down to the other student then they would begin to roll.
Most of the time, the person doing the take down would start with an advantageous position.  With some practice, we’ll build up so that we have the option of starting matches from standing where both partners are actively trying to do a take down and achieve a favorable position when they hit the mats.
Any constructive feedback from watching the video is appreciated.  You can check the student’s thoughts here.
