Don’t get greedy.  If you’ve got top position, be patient.  Secure things.  Ride your knees up into their armpits if they’ll let you.  Gift wrap the arm if they let you.  If they’re way bigger, consider switching to cross body instead of mount.  Position.  Patience.

…but we did do a couple subs from the top today.  There’s gotta be some reward for all the positional work that the students are doing.  It’s like eating your vegetables and getting a piece of chocolate as a reward.  But then that chocolate tastes so good next time you sit down to dinner you go straight for it before eating your vegetables… don’t do it!

Patience is a hard.  Don’t get greedy.  It’ll pay off over the long haul in terms of building up your skill level.
