If you are always pushing at the margins of your capabilities does it get easier? No. Perhaps showing up to class gets easier. Perhaps the idea of intensity gets easier but the actual effort remains just as difficult because effort is a relative thing.
One athlete’s 10 knee push ups are another athlete’s 50 regular push ups. The bar keeps rising as you get stronger and getting over that bar is still hard work.
To answer the question that all beginners ask… yes – you will always be sore. Treasure that feeling. It’s part of your reward for working hard.
