I’ve been passing out a lot of requirement sheets recently to many of the younger Kung Fu students, which is great – it means they’re wondering what it takes to get their next belt. Even cooler than that is several students have come up to me this week with specific questions about requirements.
“What’s the bridge?”
“What’s a shuffle up?”
Neat. Not only does it mean that students are actively engaged in seeking out knowledge, it means the students are directing the content of classes. Plus it fits right into this weeks theme of communication. What could be more ideal for a teacher when the students themselves are aware of the holes in their own knowledge.
Keep the questions coming.
