Session I Summer Camp-Day 1

On our first day of camp this week, we worked some introductory Kung Fu techniques, (knee kick, elbow smash, vertical punch, front snap kick, street stages and 4 count street) basic Lion Dance footwork drills (in teams), and worked with Ramman Turner of Trancendence Fitness in fine-tuning our form with gymnastics skills.

Ramman Turner of Transcendence Fitness has been a regular guest instructor at many of kid’s camps, but is also a gifted Gymnastics teacher to adults:

Ramman will be starting a new 3-week Gymnastics Boot Camp at the CrossFit Human Evolution Lab. Classes will be two hours long, run 5-7 MWF and focus on tumbling, breakfalls, flexibility training, the essentials of bodyweight conditioning, handstands and presses, ring strength, planche and lever training, slackline balancing, climbing, and parkour/free-running.
