Chalk Floor

How to Jerk, Part 2 - The Cal Strength Jerk Progression

I think the video above is a better way of marking the floor for the footwork of the split jerk. The way we were doing it today I think a lot of people’s splits weren’t long enough.

So, we’ll try it this way next time. Always evolving, always improving (which is a kinder way of saying be humble, admit your mistakes and move on).

Battle of Waterloo
Part 1: Barbell Technique
Every 90 seconds for 9 minutes do
1 Clean
3 Split jerks
Part 2: Strength (15 minute cap)
5 sets of 3 pause front squats, as heavy as possible
Part 3: Conditioning (5 minutes total)
5 rounds for total reps of burpees
With 1 minute on the clock do
5 deadlifts (275/185)
AMRAP burpees

Check the whiteboard for numbers.
