Different Cues, Same Result

Lay your torso back as the bar comes up. Open your hips fully as the bar comes up. Snap your torso forward to get under the bar. Close your hips as you get under the bar.

These different cues (can) result in the same thing: the student uses their hips to lift the bar up higher and then gets in a strong position to catch the bar. Is one cue better than the other? Yes. Whichever cue works for that particular student is better (for them). The higher percentage of people a cue works for, the better of a cue it is but don’t forget any cues that work for someone, you may need them next time you help somebody out.
