Power Position

Snatch inna metcon

High hang = power position. Whenever we do EMOM work that is listed as high hang, we are working the power position. Sneakily, whenever we are working from hang, we are working the power position because the bar must move up and through power position. This is equally true when we go from the floor because, you guessed it, the bar has to pass through power position.

Power position is when the that awesome moment where the torso is behind the bar, the knees are still bent and the elbows are relaxed but not bent. Right AFTER power position, the lifter straighten out the knees, lays back and launches the barbell up.

Watch the video and see if you can see folks hitting the power position while under the duress of the metcon.
