Fear is a good thing most of the time. It is your brain’s quick way of letting you know that whatever it is that is going on is probably dangerous.
When doing Crossfit, it is good to acknowledge and listen to fear. Does the box jump scare you? Try a slightly lower box. Does kicking up into a handstand terrify you? Have someone spot you. Does the weight on the barbell make you wish you hadn’t walked in the door? Take some weight off.
Once you’ve done the lighter weight or lower box or whatever scaling was necessary, does the original version still scare you? If so, then save it for another day. If it suddenly seems possible then give it a shot.
