My teacher recommended this book to me and now I’m recommending it to my students. Why? Because it tells several great stories. Because it restates over and over the value of keeping your attention on the present moment. Because it restates over and over the importance of breaking big problems into small problems and solving them one at a time. Because it quotes Marcus Aurelius. Because it is well written. Because it manages to be amazingly relevant to martial artists while only referencing the fighting arts a handful of times (and then only briefly).
