Theme of the Week: Body Part to Body Mass

Suppose you can secure one piece of your partner’s body and apply all of your body mass to it?  Sounds good, right?  You get their head twisted off to the side, their posture all out of what and manage to good a good solid grip on the triceps and shoulder.  That is now your arm to do what you will with it.
The same could be said of a leg, a head or even a hand.  Throw your partner out of alignment and take the target body piece.  Now you’ve got control through applying the concept of body part (theirs) to your body mass (yours).
This may ring some bells for many students as being very similar to the idea of head control.  If you can control your partner’s head and get it out of alignment with their body, then you’ve got control of them.  Many of these ideas we’re exploring are going to have lots of crossover between one another.  There is no exclusive territory here.  The point is to think, talk and engage in some strategies that are functional.
