CrossFit is crammed full of skills to learn. Double unders, muscle ups, kipping pull ups, cleans, snatches, running form, handstands… there’s a lot out there. What to do?
There are many strategies. You can pick your weakest skill and plug away at it for a couple weeks, practicing for a few minutes a day and see if you make some progress. You can make a list of all the skills you need to work on, and every day spend a few minutes on one of those skills. Or you can say “all I have time for is the 1 hour of class a day” and when those troubling skills come up in the WOD, you practice by doing them.
Whatever way you choose, you will get better. Trust that all your hard work will pay off – there will be ups and downs but so long as you persist, the arc of skill progress moves ever upward.
