More Range!

Most people have got longer legs than arms thus they should have a longer reach with kicks than punches.  I say should because if a student never practices kicking and especially kicking with impact then they won’t have a longer range with their kicks because they won’t have any confidence in their kicking abilities.
Thus the simplicity of today’s class: kick stuff.  Kick the air (focus on form).  Kick the air shields (focus on power).  Kick the focus pads (focus on targeting).  Kick each other (focus on getting used to hitting a body).  Simple and necessary.  Just because kicks can reach further it doesn’t mean they will unless you practice.  Kicking the bag two minutes a day keeps the sparring partners away.
