Small Circle Ju-Jitsu

Today in forms class we worked part of a form called “Mo Sam Do”, which translates into English as “Third Martial Way”.  The section of the form we drilled is a 8 lock sequence borrowed from a system called “Small Circle Ju-Jitsu” founded by Professor Wally Jay.
The video is neither the sequence we drilled nor does it have Professor Jay in it… however, it’s a great example of how to fit finger, wrist and arm locks into more free flowing drills.  I dig how much striking is going on before the application of the locks.  For most of us, this kind of softening up is necessary before sinking in a lock, so as to give our partner something else to think about while we figure out how to apply the submission.
