It was a gorgeous day, and good turnout for the
Mo Duk Pai annual volunteer Work Party event at the
Oregon Food Bank’s Learning Garden in Portland. The garden itself functions as a hands-on educational facility year-’round, and harvested foods are distributed through the central Food Bank to families in need. We always appreciate their welcoming us in helping to “clean-up,” or
harvest, weed, wash, and haul away the green/brown stuff. It’s an honor to be able to pitch in, and especially fun for the kids (a couple gals harvested a record FIVE eggs from the chicken coop this morning while others picked peppers, and played “King of the Mulch Hill”)!
