Icy Day

Students at Lewis got to spend a good chunk of time today hitting the focus pads in utilzing a basic boxing combination. Wally also threw out a number of variations on the “Burpee,” (a Kung Fu Outreach conditioning staple). As he demonstrated one such technique I overheard a second grader utter in an unaffected manner, “That’s going to be tiring.” The students rose to the occasion, and left looking pleased with themselves.

It was the perfect class for an shoulda-been-a-snow-day day. Pictured here is the Inchworm Burpee. Turns out more snow is expected tonight-no school tomorrow!
