This one hour class will allow you to explore your yoga practice. Whether this is your first yoga class or you have been practicing for years, Jess will meet you where you are today. Paced using the breath, Jess will guide you verbally through different asanas, or yoga postures, to improve strength, flexibility, and functional movements. This class is for all levels. Whether you are looking for time in your week to slow down or looking to improve your Olympic lifts, this class is for you! Please feel free to bring your own yoga mat and any props you would like to use!

About the coach: Born in the year of the metal horse, Jess’s personality does not fall short of expectations–fiery, friendly, bold and full of life. Jess Nason is a 200-hour YTT certified yoga instructor and has been practicing yoga for over ten years. Her classes will challenge you, mind and body, as she incorporates functional movement, breathing techniques, and yoga postures into each of them. She believes for the body to perform at its highest level, there must be a harmonious relationship in all aspects of training—strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and of course, self-love. The style of yoga Jess teaches is alternative and incorporates other movements and music not seen in more traditional style yoga classes. She believes that yoga is for everyone and so her teaching style reflects that—yoga for the people. Jess received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Vermont in 2018 and is currently the Pediatric Physical Therapy Resident at OHSU. Jess also enjoys hiking, biking, SUPing, and CrossFitting.
