The cool thing about moving your feet more in sparring is that more opportunities open up. Why is that cool? Because it’s easy to fall into a pattern. It’s easy to rely on your favorite techniques. Move movement means more stuff is going on.
Keep in mind that these opportunities are going to open for both you and your partner. If you move more than you usually do, you’ll probably end up in slightly different positions than you normally do. You might find that there’s actually a chance to use some long discarded and labeled useless basic kick or punch. You might also find that you get scored on.
Press forward in your martial adventure. Move your feet. Find new opportunities and see how/if you can work them into your sparring game.
