Concise is Nice

Olympic Weightlifting: A Complete Guide for Athletes & CoachesI’m about 50 pages in to reading Greg Everett’s book and I’m impressed.  Clear but not pandering.  Detailed but not verbose.  Intelligent but not dry.  In other words, it’s good.  It’s not billed as “for CrossFitters” but it seems like a perfect fit to me.
Will reading this book add 10 pounds to your clean and jerk by the time you finish?  No idea but it certainly provides lots of technique, mechanic and theory to chew on which (if you actually practice) may add 10 pounds (or many more, if you practice more) to your lift.
Read a book – it’s good for you.  Expect new Oly drills coming your way soon.
