I would like to offer the suggestion that a good exercise program should make you more interesting. I don’t mean interesting in the kind of way that you post your back squat weights and reps to Facebook. I mean interesting in the kind of way that it challenges you mentally.
Boring people are, by definition, stuck in a rut of some kind. Perhaps they are really interesting but they don’t know how to communicate. Perhaps they communicate well but because all they talk about is how awesome they are at video game golf, they can not hold most people’s attention. They are not exposing themselves to challenge (at least not in a way that transfers to their interactions with others.)
Do work. Do challenging work. It will make you more interesting.
