Glorious wall balls

Last month, all the workouts were named after cognitive biases. A cognitive bias is a error in reasoning – a kind of mental short circuit. The biggest bias of them all is called confirmation bias.

Confirmation bias is the human tendency to seek out information that confirms the beliefs that we already hold. If humans were logical (back me up here, mister Spock) they would seek out information that led them to truth, but we aren’t so instead we tend to cherry pick things we already agree with.

So anyway. Now that we here at CrossFit Hillsdale have all moved beyond cognitive biases (that is called anti-bias bias by the way – the belief that you are above making errors because of biases) we shall use the month of August to explore some historic Supreme Court decisions. That’s right, all the workouts will be named after landmark court rulings.

Why? Because over the last 200 plus years the court has done some interesting stuff. Now let’s lift some barbells while we lift our knowledge.
