Explore the rich culture of West Africa through the authentic dance instruction of ALSENY YANSANE, dynamic fourteen year performing artist with Ballets Africains. Students will experience sheer joy expressing themselves in this dance form which is aerobic and inspiring while learning the elements of West African dance, rhythm, song and how to move together as a group. Participants will develop coordination and personal movement styles in a friendly and nurturing environment while learning cultural sensitivity and inclusion. Alseny will be assited by ANDREA DIPALMA, co-founder of Won Tan Nara Productions and long time arts educator for children and adults.
