Open your hips… or maybe lean back?
Sometimes you say something different than what you really mean because that thing you say gets the thing that you want done. Odd, right? I suppose it would be easier if simply saying what you meant got things done but so it goes.
Then, of course, when you do get what you want, it often messes everything else up. This is what happened to us today in the Oly class. We opened our hips more (a good thing) by thinking about leaning back (an odd tangent) but then that made it hard to catch the bar at the bottom (because our timing got messed up.
