One at a Time

The imperative when doing drills against more than one partner is to fight only one partner at a time.

Imperative though this may be, it is also incredibly difficult. It requires constantly moving the feet, constantly striking and repositioning yourself so that you have only one person in front of you.

It helps as well to keep your partners busy with multiple concerns. Kick, punch and vary up your targets as much as possible. The less time they have to think about where they are going to hit you or how they are going to tackle you, the better chance you have of getting out of the situation safely.
