Adult Kung Fu Camp – Connections 2009

Sifu Tim Mayer
In the snowy recesses of Mount Hood Kiwanis Camp, roughly 40 Mo Duk Pai students gathered for the yearly 28 hour Kung Fu session known as “Adult Camp.”

This year the focus of camp was “connections.” Likewise, the objective of camp every year is to bring everyone’s training up a notch. Did that happen? No doubt we’ll get feedback throughout the next couple of weeks but just from talking to fellow students during mealtimes there was evidence of the gears turning, and it seemed that all were having a great time.

As for myself, I always walk away from camp both humbled and hungry for more. Between taking classes from the founder, Professor King, and the numerous black belts – I walk away realizing just how much there is out there to learn.
